In honor of National Feral Cat Day (celebrated on October 16 nationally by Alley Cat Allies) members of H.A.R.P. (Homeless Animals Response Program), Rivertown Cats, Community Concern for Cats, and the local community gathered in downtown Antioch for a "Cat Walk" march, led by Susan Wallis Smith, from City Hall to Antioch Animal Services to protest and ask for the repeal of the recently passted city ordinance banning the feeding of cats on public lands, in Antioch, California on Saturday, October 18, 2014. A group of about 20-30 people marched peacefully and stopped along the way at local businesses that support community cats. The march concluded at Antioch Animal Services where volunteers staged a table with informational material on community cats. Photos/Victoria Sheridan
