Day 38: self isolation/covid 19/2020. The workman’s gloves at the end of the day. Today I celebrate the hard work my husband does around our house. In these past few weeks he has built four garden beds out of a huge pile of cinder blocks, a gate that encloses our back lot, helped me restore and move my garden table, built two redwood planters out of scrap wood, helped me plant vegetables in our garden, and today he started building our double bin compost structure. I’m sure I’ve missed something. As the day came to a close and we wrapped up our work, he sat down for a while to enjoy the evening light. Gloves set aside on the work bench, cats wandering about and another day slips by during the pandemic era.
