The Capay Valley Almond Festival's 100th Anniversary was held February 22, 2015 in the Esparto/Capay Valley Region of Northern California. The festival which was begun in 1915 is the only five town event in Northern California and is held in the towns of Esparto, Capay, Brooks, Guinda and Rumsey. Local crafters sold wool and yarn, lavender, local honey, fruits and vegetables from the region. The Grange in Rumsey had a local band and homemade food. Stews, soups, ribs, brick oven pizza, and fresh baked goods were available. The local 4-H had a petting zoo and they also brought a new born sheep. Vendors advertised "Whole Hog Deal" plates of food as well as coffee and cookes. Photo/Victoria Sheridan
